Charitable Purpose

Awatuna & Districts Playcentre is a parent run co-operative, providing a quality licensed early childhood education service where parents are valued as their childs first and best educators and children learn through simulating and interactive play, with a strong commitment ti b-culturalism.

Entity Structure

Our centre is managed and governed cooperatively by a centre whanau whom are predominantly in a voluntary capacity. Our main source of funding is through Ministry of Education Bulk Funding. We offer a NZQA recognised adult education programme to prepare and support parents in their roles as teachers at playcentre.
