Purpose & Structure


Charitable Purpose

Age Concern is a charitable organisation dedicated solely to people over 65. We focus on local service delivery providing support, information, advocacy, planning for the future, Social Services and agency referrals. We are the first port of call for older people in their communities, offering expertise and knowledge of all available services for older people. We work in collaboration with other organisations towards obtaining our vision.

Entity Structure

The parent member will hold responsibility for financial administration and reporting. Group members will continue to administer their local branches and activities. Social Services will be delivered across Hawkes Bay by 2 Community Workers and a Registered Social Worker. The management of the Social Services will be the responsibility of the Social Worker, who is part of the parent member group.
