Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

a) support and complement existing palliative care providers and to meet palliative care needs in Mid Canterbury. b) create facilities and services that will enhance the work of the trust. c) work with the Canterbury District Health Board or appropriate public authority in promoting and developing services and facilities for palliative care and in doing so acknowledging the unique rural lifestyle offered by the Mid Canterbury District. d) develop a support network that will not only cover the needs of those in palliative care but also their family/whanau, friends and carers. e) receive funds that will be used for the principles and purposes of the Trust. f) undertake activities that will benefit an individual’s well-being and health; g) provide for and further the aims and objectives of the hospice and palliative care movement in New Zealand. h) promote the work of the Trust to the community of Mid Canterbury.
