Charitable Purpose

To help build a good society in New Zealand, teaching children to put commonly held values into action. Honouring children as equal to God; equipping them to make good decisions, thus empowering them to reach their full potential in life. Using stories from our heritage to teach values that have immediate relevance for children in school, at home and in the community, to form a basis for good citizenship and behaviour.

Entity Structure

The Life in Focus Trust Board of Advisors appoint a board of trustees, which currently comprises of chair, secretary, treasurer and personnel officer. A volunteer Programme Director who develops programmes and manages professional development of teachers also sits on the board. 5 values teachers are contracted to teach multiple classes. This is a remunerated role but some teachers choose to donate their time. Teachers also undertake administrative roles eg book keeping and timetabling.
