Charitable Purpose

Single Women as Parents exists so that women parenting alone in Christchurch, independent of age, culture, and economics, but generally the most vulnerable, are able to make positive changes in their lives and the lives of their children within the capacity available to the organization.

Entity Structure

Appointment and drop in Monday to Friday from 9-4 Our core comprehensive services are advocacy, budgeting/financial literacy/housing/IRD/WINZ and counselling , based on regular reviews of the individual’s needs. The services and skill of the staff, helps to empower women to longer term engagement to undertake enduring choices for themselves, maximize their basic functioning foundations, education, career and lifestyle options; provide certainty for their vulnerable whanau.
