Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The aim of Birthright's work is to mitigate the impact of child poverty and support families to participate in the community and for the children to grow up to be good citizens of their community. Birthright Christchurch Believes that all children have the right to a happy, secure and loving home environment. The purposes of Birthright Christchurch Inc. are to work with the children growing in one parent/ caregiver families in Christchurch and surrounding districts. Our stated aim is to assist the child/ren to gain confidence, develop life skills and achieve financial and personal independence.

Entity Structure

The President Jane Lancaster, MNZM is well supported by the members of the governance Board. We have five directors including a vice president/treasurer and secretary. We have two sub committees- fundraising and finance. All the memebers of the governance board are all volunteers.
