Kia Puawai has been created to ensure mainstream NZ has access to the wellness platforms of the more materially advantaged, acknowledging that best practice environments are the most effective in getting real change through nutrition, movement and mindfulness behaviours. So many mainstream New Zealanders appear to have missed key health messages. Kia Puawai will focus on natural leaders and influencers to achieve intergenerational change through their networks and whanau/ family.

Kia Puawai Ltd is owned by the Annah Stretton Foundation, a registered charity, and has its own board and separate management but contracts to best practice providers for services on an as needed basis. Kia Puawai advocates for holistic health and wellness for all New Zealanders, and facilitates the delivery of wellness programmes to New Zealanders with moderate to high risk wellness issues who could not access this service directly.
