Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Provides services - e.g. care counselling Provides advice / information / advocacy, Provides human resources e.g. staff volunteers, Provides buildings / facilities/ open spaces, Provides religious services / activities. A key aspect of the Mission is to deliver education through a Catholic and Marist lens. The Marist charism carried by the Marist Brothers and instilled in students hopes to prepare students for the future, equipping them with the necessary skills and values to navigate life beyond school. The numbers show a consistent trend in participation throughout our four schools, Marist Alternative Education, St Paul’s College, Marcellin College, and Sacred Heart College through student rolls (each striving to maximum roll), religious education, formation (Marist charism). The Marist Brothers also provide a range of individual community missions such as assisting in English as a first language in local schools, chaplaincy services, and can include pastoral work for other Dioceses.
